  • Hazelwoods is one of my favorite bars in Phoenix. I mean, they have TVs at every booth. How awesome is that? You have the ability to put on any game you want without asking for help. Atmosphere-wise, think a neighborhood bar with mainly a younger client base, combined with a fair amount of interesting folks from all walks of life. On top of the relaxed atmosphere, the quiz master that's there on Wednesdays and Fridays is entertaining, organized, and well-prepared. We try to go every Friday for their trivia night. He makes playlists of songs by length to time the rounds, which adds a nice vibe to the place. The food won't blow your brains out, but it's reliable, which is all I really require of bar food. The drink specials are pretty good too. Plus, everyone who works there is really attentive and sweet, and if Claudia is working she'll make sure you're taken care of, even if you're not one of her tables. :)
