Buyer beware. I have been to see many vets as I have traveled through North America and even in Toronto I have shopped round to see multiple vets, so you can say I am very experienced with vets and the services they offer.
I took my old here a couple years ago and he has a long standing hyperthyroidism condition which requires yearly blood work to get 12 months worth of thyroid medication. When first diagnosed and we were titrating the exact amount of medication we had to do them more often, however once that is done the I have gotten yearly check up from vets- Pretty much standard in San Francisco, Manhattan other Toronto vets and this clinic up until 6months ago!!! I did a full panel of $400 blood work for my elderly dog- beyond the necessary but now they are calling me in for a repeat and the vet refuses to talk to me about this unless I make a paid appointment. Really? That is good service? And the secretary who calls starts arguing with me how much I paid when she isn't even looking up my bill.
Horrible horrible horrible service. They even switched vets around on me last time I went in even after I specifically asked for the same one and he tried to take a blood "sample" that totally coagulated in the tube and blew my dog's vein- he's a large dog and I've never had an issue previously with blood work - I'm an RN and take blood samples daily- I told him that sample was useless and he had to take another. I wonder if I had said nothing and he took the coagulated sample if he would have still charged me the $400 for the blood work... The vet also tried to sell me useless supplements which have not been proven to be any different from those for people. Just twice the price =)
Nonsense. Ineptitude. Bad Customer service and save yourself time and money- go elsewhere.
