I had to cancel my membership due to an incident I had with one of their employees. I left in tears. I have been with this gym since it was Golds, with a short gap in between, returning to this Avondale EOS branded location a few months ago. Yesterday I was using a machine that a personal trainer wanted to use. Because I did not get off the machine I was confronted by the trainer. Without getting into too many details, I told him repeatedly that I was uncomfortable with the verbal exchange. He did not stop, but rather mocked me. When I told him I was warning him to stop he continued. I told him if he didn't stop I was going to get a manager. He attempted to intimidate me by saying that he was one of the managers. I walked to the front desk in tears; I felt embarrased, harrassed and defenseless. The Manager was kind enough to apologize and I genuinely believe he was sorry the incident had taken place. Additionally, another manager called me in the evening also to apologize. Unfortunately it was too late, I can't support a business where their employees have no respect for their members. While that employee's behavior may not be reflective of the rest of the team, it still shows a lack of proper training on the part of the management staff.
