  • OK - I have registered for Yelp for the first time just to submit this review. That's how strongly I feel that about this company. After deciding to insulate my garage to make it more usable during the summer months in Chandler, I did some light research on injecting foam insulation in my home and couldn't help coming across RetroFoam due to the heavy Internet presence (via both SEO and Paid Search Advertising). I tried reaching out to them via both phone and the Contact Us form multiple times with no response. I actually ended up trying to research if they were still in business. After two weeks I got a call back from some gruff guy who right off the bat started joke-complaining because I interrupted his cigarette break on his back patio. A site visit was scheduled to measure the house and give me a quote. The guy that showed up was 30 minutes late and it quickly turned into a hard sales pitch involving a flip-through of a 3 ring binder to convince me of the greatness of the company and the product. A quote was promised by Email later that evening. A week later, still nothing. I followed up to inquire as to the status and an apology was made that the individuals home Internet was down "but I sent you a quote form the office - didn't you get it?". Right.... When I did get a quote it was from a personal Gmail account rather than the one on the business card. I have a 1,600 square foot house. The quotes I received was via Email for three separate options 1.) Just garage and attic above, whole attic, and exterior walls. So the total cost to do the whole house, all-in is ~ $20,000, (1/5 of what it cost to buy the house in 1999!). Further research in competitive services shows that the fair market value for this project should be around $3K-$4K. I strongly recommend getting competing quotes and staying away from these people! What a waste of time! ------------------------ 1. Foam attic rafters of garage with 5.5 inches of Icynene classic max to include partition from living space attic and gable end.
