  • First I want to start off by saying that I have stayed in luxury rooms/hotels like The Venetian & more. If you're looking for a luxury resort type of vacation Harrah's is not the place. However, as a local with a girlfriend coming to visit from out of town, we needed a spacious, clean, & simple room in a good location. On a short time schedule to book & on a budget.... Harrah's was perfect for our situation! I wanted something affordable (well affordable considering it was fourth of July weekend) & near the Caesar's Palace since that's where the fireworks display would be. At about $140 a night ( $30 something resort fee included) this was one of the cheaper hotels for this particular weekend. That's a little over double the price of what you would normally pay on an off season but everything else was nearing the $300's so it was definitely a better deal since we wouldn't be spending much time in our room this trip. The only other hotels with this price range during this season were Luxor & Excalibur. Those hotels are on the sketchier end of the Strip so I was happy we went with Harrah's. I was offered an upgrade for an extra $10 & didn't take it but our room was still very clean & spacious. No view of anything but we didn't need it. Elevator conveniently near the food court so we had coffee & food a short walk away when we were feeling too lazy to walk the Strip. I ate a tofu dish at the sushi bar which was inexpensive compared to the rest of the Strip. Pool accessible from the elevator as well... very convenient & easy to get around to everything in the Harrah's!!!! The hotel in general is located very near the High Roller ferris wheel, various bars, & right in the middle of a poppin' area of the strip. Caesar's Palace, The Venetian, The Linq Promenade a 10 minute or less walk away. My gal & I knew we'd be attending many events & would mostly be in the hotel for sleep. The beds were very comfortable, had easy to use A.C. & the tub was large enough for me completely soak my entire body. There was even a mini-tv in the restroom... I didn't use it but that was interesting. Harrah's is also a monorail stop on the Strip so for those who don't want to walk everywhere that is also an option. There were even two pools, one for swimming & one for sitting, tanning, & sipping on drinks which we frequented daily. A very chill vibe. Overall our four nights here were great. Our trip was awesome & I would recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a quality hotel without the champagne & caviar. ;-)
