| - The Luxor was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much for $70 per night, so I was thrilled when I checked into my newly renovated West tower room 450sq.ft., king bed, nicely appointed modern room. As others have mentioned, only two pillows on the king bed (we also asked for two more and they were brought pronto). We didn't have a fridge in our room, but we brought a small cooler and it worked out okay.
Here's a few tips if you decide to stay here:
1). Luxor is a member of MLife rewards, so sign up on-line and get your rewards number BEFORE you make your reservation. It could get you an upgrade, free parking, etc.
2). Use mobile check-in to avoid the long lines on the weekends.
3). Upon check-in, if you prefer a more modern/renovated room, ask for a room in the newly renovated West (or East tower). If you want to stay in the pyramid, it can be hit or miss on the quality of the room. Either way, you have to at least try the slanted elevators in the pyramid.
4). The West tower is closest to the pool and gym, so if you're planning to use them you'll want a room in the West tower.
5). If you are dissapointed with your room or amenities, speak up! The staff here are very accommodating and will do their best to make sure you're happy.
6). Never park on the open top level of the parking garage unless you want virtually everything in your auto to melt into molten lava.
Finally, good luck and have tons of fun and stay Las Vegas Strong!!!
