rev:text	When I started doing physical therapy again, I was already pretty sure I wanted to augment it by doing some more work on my own at the gym. I have to say that I didn't have all that great an experience with the LAST one I joined locally, so I was hoping for two things here with the LVAC gyms: That it would have exactly what I needed to get started again, and that it didn't literally cost me the "arm and a leg" that I don't have to spare. Fortunately, they batted 1000 on both counts. Steve and Ron made sure between them, that I was shown around and good care was taken of all the questions and concerns I had. The special that ran at the time made me wish I'd checked with them first: $5 initiation fee and $31 a month, which is do-able even on MY limited budget. I have been spending most of the time in the pool, working on mobility and flexibility, and the "jogging" pool and/or the lap pool has been perfect for it. Having the Jacuzzi in the same area doesn't hurt, either. Only giving it three stars now, because I haven't had the chance to check out the rest of the facility, but I will be doing so in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, if you are like me, and you're looking for a good place to rehab and do those kinds of exercises, this seems like a good place to start. The Juice Bar they have there has an outstanding selection of smoothies, juices and meal options that are healthy. I love their Vanilla Almond Crush smoothies, but at $8 and some change each time, for me it's going to be a once-in-a-while treat.
