  • First off, I've gotten many massages in my life, this was far from my first. This was, however, my first in about a 6 months due to a very busy schedule so I was really looking forward to it. I purchased a Groupon which is how I found this place and scheduling the appointment was easy. The first problem came in with the reschedule, they needed. The girl I was scheduled with had her baby (congrats to her) and I guess they couldn't get someone else I to cover for her. So, the morning of my appointment, I received a phone call asking me if they could push my appointment back a week. I agreed, no problem and they offered to give me an additional 30 minutes for my troubles. I said "Thanks!" and went about my day. The day before my appointment, I had a change to my schedule which meant that I could now only do my original hour. I called to notify them the afternoon before (their cancellation policy is 6 hours prior), but got no answer on the phone. After a couple more attempts, I left a message starting the changes necessary and proceeded to wait for a return call that never came. The next morning, the morning of my afternoon appointment, I called again to try and reach someone. I was told by the person that answered "Oh yeah, we called you and were waiting for a call back from you." I neither had missed call nor a new voicemail. When I asked her if the change can made and I could use the extra time offered another time, it was "Sure, no problem." I arrive at my appointment early as you usually are requested to because you need to change and everything. There were two people sitting at the front desk, a guy and a girl. The girl was friendly enough, but the guy couldn't be bothered to speak more than 3 words to me, even when the girl and I were chatting. Super awkward! I was asked to sign a "no funny business" disclaimer which I commented on being very weird. Double Super Awkward! I proceed to wait until my masseuse comes out. I'm immediately taken into the room, very odd! There's no changing rooms. I'm told to undress in the room and she'll be in when I'm done. We were at my start time when I was taken back, so my hour is already at a disadvantage. I requested a deep tissue for specific places, it was an ok massage not really deep at all. Except in one place, my feet. Who massages an area with little muscle and a lot of delicate bones so hard?!? Do you get where I'm going with this? That's right, it hurt... bad! I jerked my foot a couple of times and she stopped. Well, guess what? It's over a week later and it STILL HURTS. Initially, I thought nothing of it and figured it was just with the pressure that was applied and ATTEMPTED to schedule the extra half hour I was offered. It was at this point that I was told that they didn't schedule half hour appointments, I would have to purchase an additional hour in which they would tack on the half hour at the end. They said they'd give me the Groupon price, but I had to call back by the next day. REALLY?!? That's how you retain customers? Bait and switched?!? The next day, my toe still hurt, so I decided not to schedule the additional time and just take that loss because I was so upset. Did I mention the no "funny business" disclaimer they make you sign?!? What kind of business are you running that you need something like that? This was my first and last visit. That is definitely the end of our businesses relationship. I just hope my foot gets better soon.
