  • An excellent spot for anyone looking for a proper cocktail. And I mean a proper cocktail. This is not a beer joint, although they have a few nice beers. The menu is very cocktail focused. It's very much like the nearby Velvet Tango Room, but more relaxed (a good thing). The owner and host is wonderful. We first met him as a bartender at Lolita. He mentioned his plans for the Spotted Owl and we have been waiting ever since. We were not disappointed. Also a plus - they try to maintain a comfortable atmosphere. This means everyone is seated to drink. So, the bar never feels crowded. If you're looking for a great cocktail in a relaxed, but beautiful atmosphere, then the Spotted Owl is for you.
