| - I live in Vegas, and I've rented from several car rental companies at McCarren Airport. Sixt is by far the best. First of all, they have their own shuttle that picks you up from the airport and drops you off. So you don't have to take the bus. Their business office looks clean and you get the feeling that they are happy to be there. Most importantly, they don't nickle and dime you for every little thing. If you decline their insurance, they don't hassle you into purchasing additional services. Love that. Sure they offered me a better car for $20 more, but after I said no, they proceeded with the transaction.
As of today, I've rented from them three times. The first time I returned the car, I forgot to fill up the tank, the check in guy waived the fee and told me not to worry about it. WOW! They could've charged me $60 like Hertz or Advantage, but they didn't. Most recently, the supervisor CJ gave me a complimentary upgrade because I was a return customer and told him that I preferred a vehicle that had XM/Sirius radio. CJ noted that I had only reserved the economy vehicle (cheapest option), but since they had the vehicle I wanted, they would extend the courtesy. I also read some of the other reviews, in all fairness, you can't please everyone. To the people that didn't get the vehicle they wanted, my advice is to book in advance. Sixt's service is really great, and they definitely take the stress out of renting a car.
