First time here....thought the decor was adorable, in a historic sort of way and probably exactly the same as it was 35 years ago, when it first opened. Something to be said about that. Why fix what's not broken? Obviously if you are looking for 5 star quality and ambience, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a friendly, inexpensive restaurant with decent food, a varied menu and nice service, then this is the place. 95% of the menu is made from scratch. The small salad bar is simple and fresh and a nice add-on. The pie slice is humongous. The fresh homemade bread is excellent. The mashed potaotes are real. It's comfort food and fresh pie and that's that. If you want more, you're in the wrong place!
