I think this place needs to be rated on two levels i.e. the space itself and the products they sell.
I recall this spot being occupied by a humongous clothing store (with hardly any traffic) so this place is a welcome relief for starters as why would one need another clothing store for an area known as distillery. The space is setup very nicely and lends to the ambiance of the space. One can walk around and peak into what goes into the whole process. Nice center bar area which is inviting and good for tasting. 5 Stars
Now for the product itself hmm I am not a big fan of spirits anymore and enjoy beer/wines a lot more. I have tried enough whiskey/vodka to form an opinion. Gin is a product I seldom try.
I have tried all their products aquavit (not a fan), vodka (below average IMO), whiskey (poor) and the sole standout IMO gin. Out of all these products gin is the only item I can justify shelling out the the asking price. The whiskey is sub par and I enjoy a good whiskey now and then so have a good reference point. Vodka is ho hum and aquavit being an acquired taste also didn't do it for me. 3 stars for the products but I strongly suggest one visit this place for tasting to form a better opinion or just admire the space for what it is.
