I have eaten at a Pappadeaux's twice in my life; this experience was better than my first at least. If you are from Louisiana, or travel there often, this place doesn't compare to the real deal. Our party had the half-price oyster deal and ordered several orders. They liked them, but I thought they were just OK. It was a good value though. I had ordered the new scallops and sweet pea risotto, and it was pretty tasty, but the portion size was way too small and way overpriced. I only had 5 scallops on my plate and they were relatively small. I felt like I could have gotten more scallops for less from the grocery store. We got the bananas foster cheesecake for desert, which was pretty uninspiring to me. Seemed like a regular cheesecake with very little topping whatsoever. If it's not a traditional bananas foster desert, don't bother with it. Also, there aren't very many non-seafood options on the menu!
