Nice environment. warm and inviting. We meet some friends and this is one restaurant that you can actually talk and hear your follow table mates. Yea to that! We were seated at a high top and I do mean high top. Higher than normal and the seats were hard to get into if you are not tall and harder to get off if you are shorter. Oh well!
Service was excellent. From the busboy to our waitress. She was able to describe and explain many items on the menu and wine list with a very detail description!
As to the food. Just OK! Started with a liver appetizer that was a special and it was tasty but the liver was a little overcooked and a little tough. Our Sienna Chopped Salad was way overdressed, just saturated with dressing and had very little flavor. Even the gorgonzola seemed flat due to the overdressing.
My Lemon Spaghetti was OK, but again over saturated with sauce and the only real flavor was the lemon lacking any basil or spinach flavor that it should have had. Was able to get a taste of a meatball. It was good, not overcooked like most restaurants and tasty but not as good as my Mom's. I guess I am over the meatball craze.
After the misses on the app. and dinner, we decided against dessert.
