We stayed at this upscale condo hotel for 16 nights. The suite was a 1220 square foot one bedroom condo with a kitchen, washer and driver and one a half baths.
The room itself could be great but unfortunately there were a few important necessities lacking. Most importantly was the air conditioning. We called maintenance twice. There are 3 units in the condo. The bedroom unit worked perfectly. The living room unit wouldn't blow air cooler than 74 degrees at the best of times. The unit near the kitchen was dead. In spite of 2 visits by maintenance it couldn't be repaired.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The main bath has a shower with a rain shower head and two other shower heads. The water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water.
The cable TV leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the channels were constantly becoming frozen which made them impossible to watch. The hotel states that their free internet runs at a blazing speed of 1 mbps. Actually it is less than half of that. A joke really.
The housekeeping staff are great. Polite and thorough and very quick to respond o last minute requests.
The unit has a small washer and dryer of some unknown brand that works okay if you are willing to wait over two hours for a small load of clothes to dry.
It is important to note that the room was quiet. However, the Palms caters to a young "party type" crowd.
The free self and valet parking are a plus. If gambling is your thing, go to one of the bigger casinos on the strip because the Palms Casino is older and outdated. It is accessible by a walkway with two moving sidewalks in each direction. I took the walkway a number of times and every time at least one of the sidewalks was not working.
For the most part, a nice stay but there is so much better available for an average of $300 on the strip itself.
