Came here last weekend for the Spartan race in fort McDowell. It wasn't too far from the venue, maybe 30 min. The price was decent, around $80/night. You can smell the fresh paint and see the newly laid carpet on the stairs which is nice to know that they r keeping up on their repairs. The receptionists were nice and efficient. The room was massive for the price. 2 queen size beds, a sitting area with voices and a ceiling fan and a bathroom with a shower that would make any 4 star hotel jealous.
Pros- large room, quiet, price, cleanliness, heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, free breakfast
Cons- pillows were lumpy. airconditioner made the room an icebox but when it's off it got really stuffy. one elevator to go up and down 3 floors was inconvenient. Selection of the continental breakfast was paltry and the same each and every day. Would've been nicer to have more hot food options and a larger seating area.
Overall it was a pleasant experience and looking forward to visiting phoenix again!!
