First let me say that I have been bringing my cars here for years to be serviced. I have 3 small children and its extremely convienent to drop off my car and go into the mall. That being sad I will NEVER bring a vehicle here again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to do the same. (My entire family also came here with their vehicles)
Last Tuesday 3/13/18 I brought in one of my cars to have it serviced. I spent nearly $300 and got a fuel line flush, coolant exchange and oil change and a new battery. On Thursday (3/15/18) morning it was a bit chilly outside so I turned on my heater only my heat was not working. It worked fine before taking it to Sears so I knew that it was probably from the coolant exchange. I didn't have time to check it until after work that night. I pop my hood and check the radiator. THERE WAS NO COOLANT!!!! My car was NOT leaking before or after the servicing. I immediately had my brother take me to Autozone and spent $20 on coolant thanking my lucky stars I didnt overheat or blow a head gaskett since it had been 2 days! After going home and adding coolant to the car we realized there was some coolant in it but very very little. They did not "bleed" or "burp" it after adding collant so there was A LOT of air left in it. We added an entire gallon of coolant and low and behold the heater was blowing like a dry wind in the Sahara desert.
I went into Sears today to discuss what happened and hopefully get some type of refund or cosolation for the mechanics clearly rushing the service. They did not do their job. Period. It was not my fault they didnt so their job and this could have been extremely costly for me had I not noticed a couple days after. Thank goodness it was cold outside because I dont normally recheck the mechanincs work. Whoever was working there gave me some BS about hidden air pockets that are hard to get out. PLEASE! It took 5 minutes after I ran my car and added coolant and now it runs fine. She asked to look at my car... like theres no need to look at it I fixed it. She said they were going to check for air bubbles. Umm there isnt any I just told you I fixed it. I actually didnt drive that car to the mall today so I couldnt let her look at it and I also wouldnt want them looking at it to make up some bs story. Not to be rude but your mechanic just messed up.
I wasnt offered a refund or anything at all for a HUGE mistake that could have been extremely expensive. You have lost a long time customer plus anyone I know that goes there. HORRIBLE customer service. Shame on you Sears!
