  • The Edgewater is one of the nicest hotels at which I have stayed. For the last two years, my wife and I have celebrated our anniversary at the Edgewater. Both times, we stayed in the Premium Lakefront King with bathtub. The rooms were perfectly clean and very elegant with large windows and good views. The large bathtub and shower were a luxury. After the staff found out we were celebrating our anniversary, we came back from dinner to find a congratulatory card and bottle of sparkling wine from the staff, which was a very nice gift. We also had a couple of meals from the Statehouse restaurant and found the food to be high quality and presented well. It is close to the top tier for food in Madison, but not the best. The meals are very expensive and not a great value for the price point, but this is typical for hotels so if you don't mind paying a little more, at least you can be certain you will receive good food. Overall, I am very happy with the overall experience provided by the Edgewater.
