  • Let me start this by saying that my initial visit was fine... it's what has happened since that is just ridiculous. I visited the urgent care on 11/14/16 to get an inhaler prescription as my wheezing had been acting up and mine from the east coast had run out. First, they charged me $120 saying that since I hadn't met my deductible I had to pay that instead of the $50 deductible copay that is on my card. The NP came in and did his exam, things were fine, he seemed to understand what I needed... said he'd give me scripts for an inhaler but also for a cough medicine and Singulair, and said he'd call them in to WalMart. I had to work at 1 pm so I went to WalMart the next morning.. no scripts. I call the urgent care, spoke to one person and then after 6 calls FINALLY got a person that said they'd call it in. I go to WalMart the next day and picked up one script but it's the Singulair, not the inhaler that I really needed! I call again that afternoon and was assured they'd call it in. I then go to WalMart again the following day and no script!!! By this time, I'm furious but still keep my cool... and they called in the inhaler. Still no cough medicine but that's fine. A month later, I bet my insurance EOB and sure enough, I didn't owe $120, I overpaid so now they owe me $70! I call to talk to their insurance person and they give me a name and number of someone... I called this person twice and left messages, no call back. One evening I call and get her and she says she's not the right person and that she had told the urgent care who I was supposed to talk to but of course, they didn't call me to tell me that! I call the next person, a Maribel and got her on the first call... she said they hadn't been paid by the insurance company yet and to call back in a week. well, that was 2 weeks ago! I've called this Maribel three times now and still haven't received a call back! This is why I'm doing this review... I'm in healthcare and have been my whole adult life and cannot believe the way they treat their patients. I'd never in my life treat people like this. They still owe me $70... and the way I look at it, they got paid $320 for doing a really crummy job of taking care of a patient as my insurance company paid them $200...they paid them way more than they even pay my regular PCP and they certainly aren't worth it. So go somewhere else, people!
