  • This was our first time kayaking on the Salt River, and Captain Ted couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. We would absolutely do this again and rent from this specific place. The equipment was fairly easy to load in the car, and he offered many different options when it came to the accessories such as oars and seat cushions. He also had Tonto Nation Park day passes which was super convenient! He provided a map and some suggestions of where to go. We ended up going to Granite Reef, paddled up stream about 1.5 hours and let the current slowly bring us back. Among other things, we saw wild horses, a cow, and a javelina.
