| - Despite all the negative reviews, I wanted to give them a try & hoped for the best. However, I actually have mixed feelings about this place based on my own experience.
I got the groupon for a 90 minute massage. My appointment was set for 5:30pm, then massage from 5:45pm - 7:15pm. I arrived promptly at 5:30pm, quickly did the paperwork, then my massage began immediately w/ Karol (started no later than 5:40pm/5:45pm - I wish I looked at the clock for the exact start time).
Again, I purchased the 90min massage, but my massage ended at 6:56pm (I made sure to check the time).
I didn't ask nor say anything about it ending early as I assumed they committed to the 90mins, & I felt like they were closing up fairly quickly. So, I didn't really have time to think & question. However, on my drive home, something didn't feel right & I felt like it really was shorter than it should've been. I started doing the math in my head, and that's when I realized my massage was definitely less than 90mins.
With that said, my massage was only 1hr & 15mins at most (hey, every minute counts!)
In addition to the above, here's my experience:
[ PROS ]:
* Karol was very respectful & made sure I was covered appropriately
* Karol kept asking if I was okay, and if the pressure was okay
* The massage was fairly good & Karol got some knots out of my back
[ CONS ]:
* It was actually a little difficult finding this place as they don't have a big sign in front of their building.
*Asides from my massage ending earlier than scheduled, it also ended abruptly (where I felt like they were rushing to close up)
* Although I was given a cup of water after my massage, I wasn't offered anything before hand - tea, coffee, water, etc. (like I've experienced at other massage/spa places)
I decided to give them 3 stars to give them the benefit of the doubt & for their potential.
But was it worth the groupon? Sure - and that was the groupon cost + an additional discount
Would I go back? Not sure =/
