| - Ikea is awesome. Much of their furniture is nice and extremely reasonably priced. Its not super durable, but I kind of like that. I don't want heavy furniture around I can't easily move and redecorate with every once in a while. The only item that seems a little over priced is the couches. They're a little pricey and not super comfy. But I like much of the rest of their things, and have gotten chairs, tables, and even a bed from them at one point or another.
The other reason I like Ikea is the restaurant. It's a bit of a lunch lady cafeteria in look, but much of the food is actually delicious and reasonably priced. I've had a couple fish that are good, the mashed potatoes are excellent, there's a good quiche, the salad bar is simple but good. I think their meatballs are a little overrated which is funny since they really hype those up, but I can excuse that since they have so much other good stuff. There is also a swedish store on the first floor. Their cookies and chocolates are great, I like their pop, and the lingonberry jam is terrific for a sandwich at home. I also like to go to the little snack shop on the first floor and get a hotdog for lunch sometimes. 50 cents for a hot dog! You can get a combo of couple hot dogs, chips, and a drink for $2.50 if you want. Great cheap way to get a quick bite in.
All together, it's just plain fun to make a date of Ikea and visit and look around, and stop for a meal at the restaurant or snack bar.
