| - I stayed here where I attended the Intelligent Content Conference, with the conference discount. As a non-binary person, I called in advance to inquire about their facilities. I was disappointed when they informed me that they don't have gender neutral bathrooms in the public areas, but they said anyone can use any bathroom without an issue from them. I appreciated that the front desk staff used my appropriate title when I checked in because whoever I spoke with in advanced left them a note. (I don't use Mr. or Miss.)
Whenever I make a reservation, I always put in a silly request, just to see if they do it - like a note in the Gideon Bible, or a "high five." I don't remember what I asked for, but they didn't do it.
My room was mostly lovely. I appreciated that the pillows had different densities so I could find one that best fit my needs. I was disturbed when I notice a long dark hair on the comforter - probably from the worker who made my bed. It wasn't a big deal. Had it been in my bed, that would have been a different issue. I don't understand why the room had a separate tub and shower or why there was a TV in the bathroom mirror.
During my stay, I ate mostly conference food when I was at the hotel. The chef knew I am vegan and made me my own plate of vegan pancakes each morning since the breakfast spread usually didn't haven't any substantial vegan options. They also had almond milk for coffee.
I travel with my skateboard, and during the conference, I stepped out on an empty terrace started riding in slow circles. I figured no one would care or security would be out in 30 seconds. I think I did 6 laps before security came out. I asked where I could skate and he said not on the property. That was lame. I'm surprised they wouldn't let me skate in empty portions of the parking lot. (It was the middle of the week. There was plenty of space to ride without getting in anyone's way.)
I'm not someone who enjoys casinos, so I was grateful that I could go from my room, to the conference, and out the front door to catch a ride without having to cross the casino floor.
