| - The place is clean and well-organized, the technicians are skilled at their work, and the sign-in system is quite good, but the wait is simply obnoxious! Either the location is too small or there aren't enough technicians. Unfortunately, though, this has been my experience at every Quest facility so I don't have much of an alternative.
I took my son for a fasting blood draw. We arrived at 6:40 AM for their 7 AM opening. We were 13th in line and there were very few that arrived with appointments. Nonetheless, we were there until 8:30 AM--almost 2 hours! This is an inconvenience for many people, but a serious problem for others. My son is petrified of needles so waited in the car for 1 1/2 hours, jumping every time someone left the building because he thought it was me coming to tell him it was our turn. This system is unconscionable.
Fortunately, the actual blood draw was much better than expected. Despite his terror, the phlebotomist was able to calm him just enough to draw blood. She (a black woman with long, colored hair--maybe Kay or Ray?) was fantastic!
