We ventured out of the Northside last night in search of something new and chose Squirrel Hill. There were so many interesting choices and we decided on Curry on Murray since we didn't have Thai in a while.
The evening started off so lovely: the windows to the street were wide open, the place was pleasantly crowded, and we got seated at a 4top and sat next to each other on the cushioned bench (one of our favorite ways to dine!).
I ordered the lemongrass soup which was decent. Ever since visiting Thailand I've been searching for the perfect version in America. This wasn't close but it still was tasty. I also ordered the Panang Curry with vegetables and that too was acceptable. My boyfriend ordered the duck noodle soup. He is a soup aficionado and will eat it even when it's 90 degrees outside! He was enjoying it very much until he neared the bottom and came across a plastic lid from a take out container! Very concerning! We immediately notified our server who brought the manager. He was extremely apologetic and comped our meal.
Even though everything seemed okay on the surface we were left unsure of the kitchen conditions and food preparation techniques. Probably won't be back.
