| - I just got back from Vegas and the whole time leading up to my vacation, I was waiting and excited to see Carrot Top on Saturday night. I got tickets in advanced, paid to be in the front row and came out 100% satisfied.
The theatre is a small theatre, around 300 seats. It's stadium seating so any seat is a good seat. There are two pricing, one price for the back two rows, +$10 for the rest of the theatre. If you're going to pay the extra $10 (which is completely worth it), try to sit as far forward as possible.
Carrot Top is absolutely funny and I laughed the entire time. He did not disappoint me from his props (the weekender!) to his jabs at some front row audience members.
But who else is in the audience is a huge factor. Carrot Top can feel the vibe from the audience. At the beginning, the audience was loving him and he was loving it. But as he moved on to more subtle, funnier, non-prop humor, it took a while for the audience to understand, or not (You can't get pregnant from a Hummer). The audience I was with loved the prop, slapstick, one-liner humor but totally failed in understanding the other jokes. And you could tell Carrot Top was not feeling the audience then. I just wish he would meet the audience afterwards.
Next time I'm in Vegas, Carrot Top is definitely a must-return. I'm already making plans! Compared to other shows where tickets start at $100 for craptastic seats and the show doesn't change, Carrot Top is a complete steal at $55/$65 in a small theatre. Check out for deals also online. I got my ticket online during a promotion period and received his $20 DVD for free.
