It's Christmas music on steroids! The Trans-Siberian Orchestra comes to town only once and it is the perfect solution if you're having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit. This amazing Orchestra combines electric guitars with some of your favorite old Christmas tunes such as the Nutcracker and Jingle Bells. It is three hours of the most amazing show you will ever see. A light show is also included in this performance which only adds to the ambiance. Certain parts of songs or even certain notes are accented with a flash of green light or a spurt of flames. The special affects throughout the performance only add to its wonderful experience. A snow machine produces little snow flurries while the choir sings a version of let it snow. Real fire is used on stage and no matter where you are in the audience a small portion of heat can be felt when each section of the stage is ignited. Throughout the performance the orchestra members are running through the audience and playing their instruments. At one part two of the performers are tied onto a platform and raised high up into the crowd where they each have a solo. This is definitely an experience that will stay with you forever. However, it isn't cheap. Tickets run at about $75 dollars after all the taxes are added and that doesn't include transportation or food. Even though the price is a bit high I believe it was worth every penny because this concert put me in the Christmas mood and made me view heavy metal music in a whole different way.
