  • When we first came here to lease our apartment I was blown away by the level of customer service we were shown and how beautiful the apartments looked! Now, almost 8 months into our lease and I regret the day I heard the name Cabana Club Apartments. When we moved in the apartment was clean to the untrained eye, but when you really inspected it was pretty dirty in a not taken care of way. The filter looked like it hadn't been changed in over a year, the carpets were dirty, and there was dust everywhere. This place definitely did not look like they hired a move in/out crew to get the apartment in new tenant shape, and if they did they got hustled. Also when we moved in we noticed a lot of things weren't done to our apartment. For example the "granite" paint job on all the counters in the kitchen and our bathroom had chips and had some spaces where there was no granite left at all. Also, in our kitchen we were missing two cabinet drawers that were supposed to arrive within the week to be installed. Guess what? Eight months later and every time we call they are "on their way." A mere week into our lease we woke up only to be surrounded by roaches. Yes, you read right, roaches. Large roaches. Everywhere. We had just moved in hadn't even moved in all of our things yet! We had to have pest control come spray our house every Friday morning for a month to get rid of the problem. Next we noticed as it started to warm up that our air conditioner wasn't working. Now I have never lived in Vegas before and had never experienced a Vegas Summer in my life, let alone one with out a working A/C! We called the office and they sent a maintenance guy to come look at it. Turns out the A/C unit outside had been switched off this entire time no one bothered to turn it on when we moved in... A problem I live in fear of every day here at Cabana Club are the monstrous fire ants. They have a terrible infestation all over the entire grounds. It is especially bad in the parking lots. I have been attacked on multiple occasions. I have bites all over my feet and legs. Its one of the worst pains I have ever been in and when I call the office there is nothing they can do but take down my name and number and tell me someone will call me the next day. (A call I never received FYI) To top it all off I am trying to do dishes about a week and a half ago and I have absolutely NO hot water... My fiance and I both work jobs that require us to work 10-13 hour shifts and we only have one day where we can actually have someone come out and look at the hot water heater. We call the office and tell them we need someone to come out and have a look and when i ask her what time we can expect someone she says she doesn't know, whenever they can get to us... So a few hours later the maintenance man comes and tells us we will need a replacement water heater, which wasn't surprising since i have seen multiple broken down water heaters sitting in front of the dumpsters at this complex. and he tells us he will be back the next day in the morning to replace it. We told him it had to be in the morning because we both work after two PM. The next day around 11:30AM my fiance calls the office because there has been no call, and no sign of anyone coming to fix the hot water heater. When asked what time they would be there she said she had no idea and she could call the maintenance man for us but she wasn't going to because he would tell her the same thing. I'm sure you could have guessed this one, but we still don't have our hot water heater fixed and its been two days since that conversation. The maintenance guys are very nice and always very helpful, I feel bad because they are probably over worked and under appreciated due to this complex constantly falling apart. The other staff besides them are completely useless. I feel like they give off wonderful customer service and fake personalities to get you to move in then completely forget that it's their job to maintain their clients happiness and comfortably. I would not, in any way, shape, or form recommend anyone to move into this complex of their own free will. We're paying around $785.00 a month for a one bedroom one bath (including water). Not even close to worth it. I honestly haven't even begun to list all the problems we have with this complex and our unit, but I don't want to keep beating a dead horse.
