I got all Thai'd up tonight thanks to yelpPhoenix! Thanks to Hailey and her team, my first YEE event was a blast! We met some fun foodies from all over to slurp and crunch on some tasty Thai food !! Upon walk-in I was impressed by the tables set-up, the welcome from Bree and Hailey, and the energy of the other peeps! I felt like a celebrity bc of the camera-man (who's name I didn't catch)
I ordered the spicy eggplant (medium spicy) with chicken that was cooked nicely and the sauce was flavorful. I loved the water chestnuts because they were crunchy and the sauce coated it nicely. I got brown rice on the side and it pairs well because there were tons of vegetables and I liked that the sauce was not overly salty ( as sometimes I find this dish is overly salty at other Thai restaurants).
For the appetizers, we were treated to bowl after bowl of potstickers and crunchy egg rolls brought to our table with a variety of sauces. I really enjoyed the egg roll because it tasted more homemade and full of veggies (cabbage carrots) and pork AND glass noodles which most Asian restaurant leave out of similar egg rolls ! I got full on one of these !!!
Huge props to Thai Chili manager and the crew who hosted all of us, took our orders, humored me about their t-shirts, and served us our meals !
Thank you for organizing the event, the awesome yelp-inspired sake glass and the drawing where I won a bag of yelp swag which included my new best selfie friend ...the selfie ring !!!!!
