What started as a family trip to Kennywood, ended in a nightmare that I will refer to as The Nightmare in Waterfront.
When I first step foot in this stuffy establishment, the concierge welcomed me with a soft "hi". If I'm paying $54.97 a night, thanks to hotels.com, a soft "hi" is not going to cut it. A soft "hi" is something I would expect from a Red Roof Inn. And getting that soft "hi" would be an honest to god miracle.
The check in process took me about 20 minutes. Why would this process take me 20 minutes when hotels.com did it for me? The concierge just kept saying something was wrong here and they had to do it over. When I heard that I started to yell out loud, demanding my $54.97 a day price still be honored.
My arms started to frail like a child that just opened up a big Easter basket, a day before Easter. The concierge told me to calm down and offered me a free cup of cold coffee. I drank that cup of coffee and I was still upset.
How could something like this happen? No one had any idea why so I took my hotels.com print out and decided to go to another hotel. I might've been a bit immature and knocked over a big potted plant, but they deserved it.
