  • I'll start with the positives: I joined Vegas Hot in January of this year and fell in love with it! I was going to classes up to 5 times a week and really enjoyed using it as an outlet to unwind and let go of all of the stresses in my life. Julie Snow was easily one of my favorite instructors as she was extremely knowledgeable and would come around to reposition students so that they were doing the poses correctly. For Yin classes, she would use scented oils on your temples to get that extra touch of relaxation. Then, I discovered Moses kettlebell classes and really enjoyed learning a new way to blow off steam. Moses is hands down one of the most knowledgeable instructors you could ask for. He makes an effort to remember every single students name that walks into his class. Now to the negatives: I noticed within the last 4 months things going down hill. My kettle bells classes were constantly being switched in location to accommodate other classes (like our class didn't matter). We were upstairs one week, then down the next, then in a hot room the following (which is hard for proper kettlebell swings as it makes your hands sweaty). Dr. King came into our class telling us we needed to bring more people into the class or he would cut the amount of classes Moses was teach (awkward). Other students would comment about how we felt like the unwanted step child of classes. The final straw for me was the constant tension I was feeling from the workers at the front desk. I walked in for a Pilates class and a heavy set woman working the front desk was yelling at her coworker (a bald man) in front of all of the clients. She was clearly stressed out and I felt uncomfortable for the man she was yelling at. This is the opposite of what I want when walking into a place that is supposed to help me find my zen. I canceled my membership that day. When I'm leaving a yoga studio more stressed than when I walk in, it's not worth going. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes at Vegas hot, but I've seen it be an amazing place. I really hope that things settle down and it gets back to being the place it once was. All of the top instructors have left, and the day I canceled my membership I saw three people ahead of me cancel theirs as well.
