| - Golden Tiki offers relief from Las Vegas heat with Tiki-inspired drinks and a kitschy vibe. A TV plays 60s beach party and surf movie clips above a massive bar. Each table's inviting with thatched roofing and mermaid art as friendly staff in rockabilly dresses and Hawaiian-print shirts provide excellent service.
I made a reservation for 2 people over the phone which required a $76 deposit. $60 went towards drink credits (about 5 drinks), while the rest towards gratuity. For just 2 people, I actually recommend just walking in. On a Friday evening, there were still some empty tables.
While I love really dark lounges, it was hard to take food and drink pix, so I was the asshole using flash! ALL of the drinks were good, with most featuring pineapple Dole Whip. The Banana Batida was our fave with the Mango Batida, as a close second. The Painkiller was pretty addictive, then the Kuuipo- a heady mix of rum, crème de cassis, pineapple, and lime served in a pineapple for sharing was so yummy and pretty- it makes a great social media post!
As for food, they don't really have any except for a Pupu Platter, good for 2 people. It was served cold and I've had better. I suggest having food elsewhere. Also, a smoky smell pervades the whole place. Besides that, the Golden Tiki's a fun place for solid drinks and a great time.
