| - DO NOT USE THIS EMERGENCY ROOM! BEWARE! I fell on the evening on
March 5th . I went over to the Emergency Room. My pain was off the chart.
I had an x-ray and was told I had a sprain. I was never exaimed by Dr. Newman,
only a physicians assistant. I was told not to baby myself, and go home and exercise,
so the shoulder does not freeze. It was the nurse's first day in the ER, she was not
even sure how to put on a sling!
After three days of agony I went to an orthopedist. I had a tuberosity fracture .
The same x-rays were sent from the hospital to the doctor. I immediately called the
hospital. I have spent months getting the run around. I was told they are standing
by their diagnosis, I have paperwork from my doctor showing different. I was charged
over $3,000 for twenty minutes in the ER. My insurance paid some, but I am responsible for close to $1,000.00. I have spoken to patient advocates in Siena ,
and at their San Francisco headquarters. All I wanted was to sit down with them and show them the medical records from my doctor. I don't mind paying, if I get the proper
care that I deserve. I am convinced it is all about the money, not the mistakes.
Is this the excellent customer service St. Rose wants to be known for?
