  • I love all the businesses in this little Plaza Midwood strip (shout out to FuManChu and my man Michael at Tiptoe). The Hop Shop is a solid hidden gem among them. This place has actually been on my list to check out for awhile. I fell in love immediately when I saw the indoor porch swings and a sign that reads "don't swing like a dick." Brilliant. Slow clap for the owner here. It's nothing fancy, super laid back. Nice selection of drafts, bottles, wine, etc. Couple TVs at the bar. There's a roll up garage door that leads out to the back area. If you're trying to go to Moo & Brew for a drink and it's insanely pack, walk behind it and check out The Hop Shop.
