Another chapter in the love story of Michael and Birdsong sitting in a tree - K-I-SS-ING - first comes Higher Ground - then comes marriage - then comes Eat a Peach in the baby carriage.
Seriously, their beer is awesome - I am a regular - guilty as charged. This years Eat a Peach was the best batch yet and they had the wisdom to can it. The From NC with Love extra pale was fantastic - their Infusion of Free Will with Chamomile was pure genius. The list goes on and on. And although I can't make it to Thirsty Thursdays, most Saturdays I'm lucky enough to get a pint or two of their weekly brew.
These are really good people - they always take good care of you and make you feel welcome - they know you, they recognize you, they appreciate you. Please never stop being you and never stop $10 growler refills (wink). I mean, come on, the bartenders even bus the tables!!!
If you are from out of town and are reading this - and you turn to your spouse or significant other and say "what brewery in Charlotte should we visit this weekend?" - the answer is "Birdsong". And if perchance you see a beer nerd wearing a Fonta Flora shirt and carrying a growler cooler sitting next to you, say "Hey" and I might just buy you a round.
