Ate here with some friends whilst waiting for a show at the House of Blues; since parking in the Mandalay Bay either involves coming a little early and grabbing a spot next to the escalators in the parking garage or coming on time, driving around for thirty minutes as you scour every level of the monolithic parking structure trying to find a place you can only barely fit your compact car into because the rented Hummers on either side are straddling the lines, we opted to come early and have a bite while we waited.
The service was fairly good, though my iced tea ran out a few times during the meal. It wasn't hugely busy, but our waiter did have several tables concurrently and I can forgive that oversight. He was still friendly and courteous. It's service that sets most any restaurant on the Strip apart, since the food is usually pretty decent but often over-priced.
The food was quite good; I had the double burger that's on two grilled cheese sandwiches, which is to say that my fiance wondered whether we'd make it to the show or not when the ambulance was called. I survived by some miracle, and came out of it with a smile on my face and half the burger in a to-go box so that I could finish killing myself later after NASA got back to me with the calorie count calculation for the thing.
Overall, I'd probably come back here; it was a pretty friendly little place and you got a decent amount of food for the money. Yes, the prices are higher than an off-strip restaurant, but the portions are still good.
