| - My partner and I came in with a $35 Groupon. We made our reservation for 7 PM and ended up coming in around 6 PM, but they were very accommodating. Our waiter was friendly, but was constantly trying to upsell, which got a bit grating after awhile. We ordered the fries to start. They were VERY cooked, but the taste made up for it. For mains, we ordered the Pollo and Formaggio pizzas. The toppings were very good, though the Formaggio was super strong. The Pollo was my favourite, though I wish the toppings had been more evenly distributed. The caramelized onions gave the Pollo a nice sweet taste and the mushrooms were delicious. In both cases, the crust wasn't great - it was super hard and tasted like it was really just flour and water. I also ordered a cappuccino, but it was far too bitter for my taste, even with two sugar cubes.
The food was pretty good, and I'd give it about 4 stars, but we were also nickel and dimed in addition to the constant attempts to upsell - though our Groupon was for $35, they deducted only $34.50. The waiter informed me that this was because they had taken off items that added up to $34.50 - this made me wonder what they would have done if I hadn't ordered the cappuccino, as nothing added together would have come close to $35. When I pay for a $35 Groupon, I kind of expect to have $35 deducted from my bill. I'm not going to make a fuss over $0.50, but I found it quite tacky.
