| - I had a dealfind voucher for a signature facial and eyebrow threading.
The place is nice and clean. The area for hair cuts is in the front and the rooms for the treatment is in the back.
Rupa was my esthetician. She did the eyebrow threading first and did a pretty good job. I forgot to mention to not make my eyebrows too thin but luckily, she didn't and it was not painful at all.
The facial went well, using Dermalogica products for it. Rupa spent a good amount of time on extractions which I appreciated. Overall, compared to a facial I had at Pure + Simple, it seemed like there was a lot more time and attention given to extractions at Health Valley Spa.
Afterwards, there was a fair amount of pushing of Dermalogica products. Every place I have gone to, they obviously recommend products after the facial is done. For example, at Pure + Simple, they recommend and offer samples as well as other places I've been to. Here, there are no samples but just smaller sized products. I felt kind of bad to reject it after the sales pitch and whatnot, so I ended up buying the products for $45. (which I later regretted because the products are based on salycic acid and I've found that tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide usually work better for my skin)
The treatments themselves, I felt, was good and it didn't feel rushed even though I had used the voucher. I'd recommend going there.
