You DONT need to check out this spot out. PERIOD. I've stayed at the Arizona Grand and paid the exact same conference fee, and had a FAR MORE for my money experience. I'd give the staff 5 stars (except for a couple of the uninterested front desk staff) but the hotel, and the poor excuse for a spa (GREAT service, ridiculous prices when you compare to the AZ grand or some of the other larger/true to life Spa's in the area). The hotel is incredibly inconvenient, the pool area is in a bizarre area - and I am NOT interested in looking at tourists in their bathing suits when I come for work/conference. Unless you are lucky enough to land a casita style room for the conference fee, your room is small and "BLAH" - really blah.
Conference food was surprisingly good, with the stars of the location being the lovely, LOVELY staff. IF WearRA choses this venue next year, I would rather stay at a Days Inn for the price. If I'm going to be this cramped and low frills, I certainly don't want to pay $250+ per night.
