| - I work in retail so I understand where retail associates come from, but this is my second time at this location and I will not be coming back.
The first time I came, there was a woman putting things away and she had the worst scowl on her face. I came across her a couple times and every time I did, she looked at me like I was in her way. The lady who checked me out, however, was very plesant during that experience.
This time, my second time, I was by the furniture and became interested in a bookcase, but it was missing a shelf. I asked the closest associate about it and he turned around and asked a woman I'm assuming was some type of manager. She said, to only him, "That's the price" and walked away. I wasn't concerned about the price, I was asking about the fact that it said it was a 4 shelf bookcase and there were only 3 shelves. I digressed, chose not to purchase the bookcase and went to the registers, where I was assumed I was going to return a dress I bought that didn't fit. When I got to the cashier I said "I would like to return this, please." She shoved the dress aside, said "We don't do returns on clothes, it says so on your receipt, that's why we have dressing rooms." without looking at me and proceeded to call the next customer.
As I prefaced, I am a retail manager and understand the struggle of working retail and dealing with difficult customers. I always go out of my way to be extra nice to retail workers. Yes, I should have read the receipt, but I have never shopped anywhere where you can't return (non clearance or "as is" marked) items. I'll be damned if I am ever going to shop in this negative environment again.
