  • There's a lot going on at Alternative Grounds. I don't just mean in the cliche sense that this spot has "got it going on." I mean literally, this place is a microcosm of all things to be involved in. Serving their community for 14 years now, the Alternative Grounds crew is immersed in the Roncesvalles (and beyond) community. Supporting charities, other businesses, residents, musicians and cyclists, your cup of coffee goes a long way here. And, the coffee is delicious. I had a very enjoyable single Americano. Espresso and water, it's hard to mess up. But, most chain coffee shops continue to do so. My suggestion is to come in and stay awhile. Invite your friends, use one of their communal mugs, order a tasty snack, take some beans to go, use the free wi-fi provided by wirelessToronto and have a good time. A community is people, and Alternative Grounds is people-friendly in every way.
