  • This was a Hot Rate on Hotwire, so it was a blind booking that worked in our favor. The hubs and I needed a central hotel to explore Toronto on a long layover. We are experienced travelers just looking for your average clean hotel room that isn't a hostel or located in a sketchy neighborhood. When we got to our room, we pretty much did a happy dance since the Renaissance is not a hotel we would ordinarily stay at. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed, clean sheets and bathroom, and a short flight of stairs leading to a loft. The loft was big and could easily host a small baseball viewing party. I'm not a baseball fan, but even I thought the view of the baseball field right out of your hotel window is super cool! The hotel is centrally located too right in downtown. We were able to walk to get food and explore Toronto. We only spent one night here, but all the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. It was a nice introduction to Toronto!
