| - After attending the Life is Beautiful Festival for the past two years, I can easily say that this festival has climbed up the list to be one of my favorites. After attending other insomniac festivals, I can see how much care and thought their event crew puts into the planning of this event.
First off, this is an all ages festival. You will find people of all ages here, but seriously, DO NOT let that be a turn off for you. There is so much to do at this festival that you can still find yourself having the time of your life. Along with that, they always seem to bring amazing talent of ALL genres. I mostly attend electronic dance music festivals, but Life is Beautiful has no boundaries to variety of talent that they invite in. All in one festival, I can get my hip-hop, reggae, and house music fix. In addition to that, they have out of this world art installations throughout the entire venue space. They also have a specific gallery area where certain artists have pieces that could be sold. You can get carried away in here just looking at the artwork that is put on display there. In addition to the music, art, and chill people, you can't have it complete without FOOD. They invite different food vendors from all over to come and sell their most popular items. This past year I had potstickers, boba with all organic ingredients, and lumpia. As this festival continues, I will keep trying to find my way back here since it has so much to offer people. Aside from all this, I think the icing on the cake is the fact you don't really have to drive to get here if you end up staying in one of the downtown hotels on Fremont Street. The festival is literally in downtown where container park is. You also get three in and out privileges! Come early, grab a bite to eat, get yourself familiar with the layout and then go back to take a nap before coming back for the nightlife and headliners!
