  • The Edgewalk is something that I recommend everyone do! You cannot find this activity anywhere else in the world!!! Hanging over the CN Tower at 116 floors up is the most thrilling feeling! The staff here was absolutely wonderful. The experience takes about 90 minutes, with 30 minutes preparing, and 30 minutes doing the hands-free walk. I'm not sure what we did with the remaining time of the 90 minutes, but I know we spent some time waiting for our photos and DVDs to be made. The experience costs $175. I was able to find a $10 discount code so we actually got it a little cheaper. With the experience, you get the hands-free walk, a photo, a certificate, a DVD of the experience, and the memories! If you want a USB of the photos that were taken during the walk, that is an additional $22. The cost is expensive, but I thought the experience was priceless. I would not do it again though. Once is enough. =) The staff made us feel very safe. They tested us multiple times for drugs and alcohol. The safety precautions was much more strict than the airport! They also checked our harnesses over and over and over and also made sure our shoes were tied tight enough (mine were not and she pulled them right off--oops!). They offer shoes if you forgot to pack some during your trip. They also offer extra coverage (a jacket) if you forgot to pack warm clothes. The weather for us was windy but not too cool. I was very comfortable with the experience from start to finish. Of course, we had to sign a waiver agreeing not to sue the company if we died. Thankfully, no one has fallen off or died from this experience. That was comforting to know. I highly recommend doing this. We booked our tickets the day before because we were not sure how the weather was. I suggest checking the weather at least a few days in advance. As the day we wanted to do this got closer, the tickets were getting sold out. Make sure to check the website periodically so you know when you need to pull the trigger to purchase your tickets. The tickets are all will-call so there is no need to worry about having them mailed to you. You will need to check into an area that is past the CN Tower store, so make sure you do not get into the regular general ticket purchase line. The instructions on where to pick up the tickets for this event was not very clear to us. The staff is helpful so you can ask anyone that works there where to go. The Edgewalk ticket also allows you admission to the observatory, a movie experience, and a simulated ride experience. Unfortunately the movie has nothing to do with how the CN tower was created--it was about Boeing and airplanes. Your ticket is good for up to two days after you've done the experience so you dont have to feel rushed to use your ticket on the same day to visit all the other things your ticket gives access to.
