| - I got a Groupon voucher (I know, but still) for a Cut, Deep Conditioning and Style. Did my homework and tried to schedule with someone I read nice things about on Yelp, but none were available. The front desk assigned me to someone else, but I made sure to say it was my first time getting a haircut in town and I wanted someone really good. When I got there I was nicely welcomed, the atmosphere is friendly even though its a much bigger salon then what I would have imagined. My stylist, Meg wan nice but the overall feel was of a beginner. Not a very polished look or attitude, but hey, don't judge a book for its cover, right? She was nice and asked me what I wanted, I told her about my hair and what I wanted in a new haircut and even showed her some pictures. Well... she didn't seem to sure of herself even after she asked me to look at the pictures for the second time. She cut the length just like I asked, which is a plus (hence the second star) but couldn't manage the cut. She kept trying to do the layers I asked but my hair kept looking boxy. I asked then for more layers twice, but still left with a very standard looking mid 2000's soccer mom look (nothing wrong, just not what I asked). I went in for a fun haircut and left feeling old and irritated. Overall not a great experience. Meg was nice and all, I just don't feel she has the expertise yet.
