| - My friend and I had a very poor experience at Woodlands, although we had high hopes, having read good reviews and both loving vegetarian Indian food. I ordered an eggplant curry (baigan bartha) and a green salad; my friend ordered, from the organic selections, a palak aloo that according to the menu was supposed to come with rice, a salad, "hot salsa," and applesauce. Well, I received my salad first, ice cold out of the fridge, with an almost-empty bottle of balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing (there was no choice in dressing offered-- I was just handed the bottle). My friend's salad was nowhere to be seen, so she asked the waiter, who seemed rather confused about whether she was supposed to get one. When it came, her "salad" was just greens in a bowl. Dinner came quickly-- the curries and some rice for each of us, but my friend did not receive the "hot salsa" or the applesauce. When she asked about the applesauce, the waiter said she wasn't getting it. At least we were given our curries, which were passable. This restaurant needs to get its act together with regard to service, accuracy of the menu, and quality of its food. I can't recommend it and certainly will not go back.
