| - Going to make a long story short: had a referral, was told service I needed only available in Phoenix location. Took 1/2 day off from work as did husband to drive me. Got taken into X-ray, questioned the tech as I had just had full MRI done, stated I don't need an xray, even asked if insurance would cover the xray, assured they would. Provider came in and started assessing my issue like I didn't have a referral for a specific service. When I questioned why she was diagnosing me instead of doing cervical shot she got a blank look...she had not looked at my referral from my primary doctor. Told me I still had to pay for her service because she "reviewed" my X-ray! Left without my service, because, you guessed it, they don't perform the service I needed at that location. AND!!!! I got billed for the X-ray. Have called customer service several times, even put in a formal complaint with my insurance company but have gotten no return calls despite it being pushed to their account review department. I just paid the DAMN thing because I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as they are going to send to collections if I don't pay it.
WILL NOT EVER go there again, despite husband having previous shoulder surgery there and being very pleased with outcome. Lost a day of pay between us and paid for an xray I told them I didn't need. It's really the lack of response on TOCA's billing that makes it absurd, oh and that they sent me to a location for a service they didn't even perform there even though I was told that was the only location that performed that service, oh and the PTO and money..yeah that.
