Just terrible. The apartment and the staff.
They tend to raise your rent whenever you renew the lease. They "lost" another tenant's rent check and evicted them. They "lost" a different tenant's deposit. Ridiculous! I'm sure it's happened to others I don't know of. I feel sorry for the tenants who don't speak English fluently, which would make it harder to argue with them. They charge the same large fee for dogs and cats.
They painted the bath tub with wall paint! It's chipping and showing some nasty stuff under it. There are large holes around all the pipes, allowing roaches to get in easily. Roaches also get in from the drains daily. The walls are thin, I hear the neighbors a lot. The stairs vibrate noise into the apartments. The floor near the door has nasty looking stains from before I moved in. There are nails/staples sticking up where the carpet meets the kitchen, they'll stab my feet if forget. The kitchen floor is bumpy/uneven, like a few bowling balls dropped there. The tap water is gross. The poor quality window heater/cooler smells like burnt hair if it's on. The window heater/cooler is expensive to run, I just try to deal with the hot summer. They have a pool that they don't clean during the summer. It was like week old bath water, hair and things in the water.
The staff are not nice people. Other reviews on here can speak to that. I'm trying not to say bad things about them.
I tend to see homeless-looking people raiding our dumpsters. At night I have seen some shady characters that jump the wall into the next neighborhood. That same neighborhood plays loud music at night on most weekends. My car has been broken into three times. I have seen a rentacop on occasion, that weirdo was staring at me as I walked into my apartment.
If you still want to stay at Crosswinds, I am sorry. I give it one star because I like the landscaping, but that's it.
