  • I always feel taken advantage of when I walk out of here. They speak almost zero English, and although I really would feel badly dinging them for this, it leads to a gross lack of communication (or even desire to have a real conversation) which leads to a bad taste in my mouth. Today I went in with a western shirt that I like. I got it for $14 awhile ago at a consignment store. Its a Scully brand, and it tends to pick up a lot of cat fur and although not really dirty from wear I decided to take it in. The lady (Young) tells me that its $6.05! For a shirt? I questioned her about it as best as I could and she simply points to the embroidered flower that is on it as if this causes a whole lot of emotional trauma when dry cleaning the shirt. And once again, because of the inherent communications breakdown between her and me I just shrugged my shoulders and paid. I WOULD NOT have felt the need to just accept this if I was dealing with somebody who could adequately explain to me why etc...But in this case I am a slave to her inability to communicate with me in English. When I got to my car and looked at my receipt I see where she coded my shirt as "A Wind Breaker" and that is why it was charged that amount. Its not a jacket...its a shirt. But how do I explain this to her? She just keys in what she wants it appears. And I've always felt that this is what she does. Once I brought in some Tommy Bahama shirts to be cleaned and requested that they be boxed. I paid and left. When I came back to get them she explained that I owed her a whole bunch of money on top of it because it costs more when they box them. It was an altercation to explain to her that this was her error that she coded it wrong and not mine. Finally she conceded and didn't charge me the additional screwed up amount since she could tell that I wasn't going to pay the increase. I've gotta try another place. Dry cleaning is so pricey in Scottsdale its ridiculous and when they just wing the way that they are coding your drop offs I've gotta cut them loose. They advertise shirts are $2.75 but if it is anything other than the simplest of shirts there is an add on. But this shirt is the icing on the cake. Over $6!?!? And when I ask why you point to a flower? Enough is too much already.
