Vastly overpriced for watered down, unauthentic Americanized "Mexican" food.
Based on the reviews, I was very excited to dine at Eldorado Grill. Man... what a huge let down.
Cons:
Chips and Salsa - salsa was nothing but pureed tomatoes with paprika and chips didn't taste fresh.
Too pricey - my assumption is because it's located on Willy St. where nearly every restaurant located in the area is a bit more costly
Selection - small menu. how can you be a Mexican joint and NOT offer tacos???! They only taco dish they had were fish tacos. This makes no sense to me at all.
Portion sizes - small for what you're paying
My order - ordered the chicken and mushroom burito. I tasted not one mushroom and it was loaded with too much spice. Rice and black beans that came with it wasn't good. The grain of rice they used didn't go well with the meal and the beans were overcooked
Pros
Service - was fantastic. Our server didn't miss a beat handling our demanding party of 15. Thank you! Also, hostess was very friendly and kept us up to the minutes with updates on our table being ready.
That being said, I would not be returning. Food just wasn't good.
